The first few weeks of parenthood are unique, with many new experiences, challenges, and unknowns. In this class, you’ll learn the essentials of caring for your newborn baby and yourself and practical tools that support healing and promote a more peaceful and fulfilling postpartum time.

Feel free to bring a partner or support people so that they will be better prepared to navigate new parenthood and postpartum with you.

Topics covered include:

  • preparing for new parenthood
  • the first hours after birth
  • newborn medical procedures
  • baby care (sleep, attachment, hygiene, teething, and the basics of feeding)
  • supporting postpartum healing
  • lifestyle adjustments for new parents & caregivers

Because each group of participants is unique and brings their own lived experience, the class is adaptable to your questions.
