About BCAPOP

Our Purpose, Vision & Mission 

BCAPOP is a registered charity with over 80 Pregnancy Outreach Programs ("POPs") across BC registered as members. Each pregnancy outreach program is unique in their approach, services, and populations served. BCAPOP is widely recognized for its support, advocacy, and leadership to improve outcomes for pregnant, postpartum, and newly parenting people and their infants. BCAPOP achieves this by distributing prenatal vitamins & resources to non-profit perinatal programs in BC, proving training, resources and events for helping professionals & peers, and responding to gaps in services with special projects such as the Healthy Care Pregnancy Pilot Project and The Pregnancy HUB.

Our Purpose, Mission & Vision

Our Purpose: To improve the quality of maternal and infant health services by distributing prenatal vitamins, information on relevant research projects and by developing standards and guidelines for non-profit health organizations providing Pregnancy Outreach Programs to the public. 

Our Mission: BCAPOP provides support, advocacy, and leadership to improve outcomes for pregnant, postpartum, and newly parenting people and their infants. 

Our Vision: Our vision is for all parents to have equal and barrier-free access to education and support that will inform healthy pregnancy and early parenting and create resilient families. 


The Pregnancy HUB is a program hosted by BCAPOP.
